Northern Superchargers won by 36 runs
PLAYER OF THE MATCH
Adil Rashid

Crawley, Malan and Brook came to the party and how. They scored at a fast clip and set up the game for the bowlers. And this win has propelled them to the top of the table. Their opponents with this loss have slipped to the bottom. They need a quick turnaround else this freefall will never stop. The Superchargers though seem to have a good solid unit and they might be the team to beat in times to come. Our team will be there to cover it all. But time for us to hop off. Take care.

Adil Rashid | Hero of the Match: I thought we played really well, the batting was exceptionally good, that allowed the bowlers to settle in and do their job. We have got firepower all the way, all the batters have the quality to score big runs. I try to keep it simple, I try to bowl variations, the batters try to hit fours and sixes and I try to keep myself unpredictable in that sense and try to take wickets as well. You are always learning till the day you hang your boots.

21:18 Local Time, 20:18 GMT, 01:48 IST: The Phoenix were outbatted. The result seemed pretty much sealed by the end of the first innings when the Superchargers managed to score a mammoth 193 off their 100. Then the pacers and Rashid defended it really well. Bethell and Livingstone batted well for the Phoenix but they needed more from their top-order which capitulated in a meek manner. The fielding from the Superchargers was excellent as they took some good catches. And as mentioned above when Bethell and Liam were going strong, Rashid used his experience and bowled some excellent sets. This is the third consecutive loss for the chasing side.

Jacob Duffy to Southee, out Lbw!! The review was more of a formality. Southee had a smile on his face when Jacob Duffy trapped him LBW. He took the review but had started walking back. Jacob Duffy shook the hand of the batter. Some Kiwi love being on show there. That was a wonderful yorker from Jacob Duffy as he nailed that delivery. Southee lbw b Jacob Duffy 8(5) [6s-1]

Jacob Duffy to Southee, THATS OUT!! Lbw!!

The review has been taken. Southee was given out LBW. Was a fuller one, angled in, Southee looked to slog it and missed the ball. Should be out as there was no bat on it.

98

Jacob Duffy to Southee, no run, and a dot again. Two balls to go in the innings. Very full, outside off, Southee looks to slam it over cover and misses. Was a slower one from Jacob Duffy and Southee was through with his shot a little too early

97

Jacob Duffy to Southee, SIX, and sixer. Will help the NRR a little. Short ball, outside off, Southee gets hold of it and swats the pull over deep mid. That was hit hard and long

Jacob Duffy to Southee, no run, slower one, outside off, Southee looks to stab it away and misses

Trent Boult, right handed bat, comes to the crease

93

Potts to Milne, out Caught by Michael Pepper!! 8th wicket down. The writing is on the wall. Was dug in short, angled in, Milne looked to pull and got top-edge. The ball went up and went behind square on the on-side. The keeper ran back and took it easily. Third wicket for Potts as well. Good thinking as he bowled it short and at the body. Milne c Michael Pepper b Potts 9(5) [6s-1]

Potts to Milne, THATS OUT!! Caught!!

92

Potts to Milne, no run, very full, outside off, jammed back to the bowler
